No. Paper Trail is documentation and clear, professional communication — not a law firm, and it never pretends to be one. Where it references your rights, it links to official, publicly available guidance so you can read the source yourself. If a dispute gets serious, you take your organised case file to Citizens Advice, Shelter, or a solicitor — and they'll be glad you kept it.

The letters are firm but courteous — often more polite than the message you'd send at 11pm. Good landlords respond faster to clear, written requests. The ones who only respond once things are in writing… were never going to respond to anything else.

You can export your entire vault as PDFs at any time, subscriber or not. Your records are yours. We'd rather you trust that than feel trapped.
